Ascension TTRPG Starter Handbook

Coming 2024/25
Ascension is a free original TTRPG world based off a modified version of GURPS. The Starter handbook not only teaches the rules of the game but acts as an introduction to the original world of Ascension. 

PLEASE NOTE THIS BOOK IS CURRENTLY A WORK IN PROGRESS WITH THE AIM OF BEING COMPLETED BY WINTER 2024.

2026_The world of Ascension is fraught with danger, uncertainty and threat. The long cold war between the Western NAA and the Eastern SRC has begun to come to a precipice with the SRC invasion of the independent nation of Yelendask which hopes to halt the spread of NAA influenced rebel groups. 

Meanwhile towering monsters known as Berserkers regularly attack the large fortress cities which contain the majority of the worlds population at a  forever increasing rate and ferocity. Humanities counter to the Berserkers, mechs called Paladins have stalled thanks to political meddling which has led to further chaos. However a new NAA project has secretly led to the development of the next generation of Paladins, The Heralds, which the NAA leadership believe could not only halt the Berserker threat, but lead to global western domination once and for all.

Elsewhere another secretive NAA project has led to the discovery of a Berserker cocoon which many hope could unlock the secret to the monsters defeat.
